The component JomfbChat is a chat "Facebook like" for Joomla! The component is native for Joomla 1.0, 1.5 and from 12/02/2012 the free version is no more available for Joomla 1.6, 1.7 and 2.5.

The component distributed in free modality has the same functionalities for all different versions of Joomla! To ensure the development and survival of good software - having received only 2 donations on more than 23,000 downloads of the free version - we have been forced to downgrade the free version and developed all requested new implementations in a commercial version.

This Joomla chat is totally free, to downolad it is sufficient to login on 2punti.eu site and adding to the undercarriage the product following the procedure; you will have the access to a download area “purchased products”. In the relative folder to the purchased components is also available a user guide. Note that the assistance is granted only to those who purchased the chat version + Plus.

hi i am suresh, in my site, the Chat window with settings is shown, but no users are seen. I have logged in using multiple accounts in 2 different browsers to test this. No users are shown as available to chat.

I'm using joomla 1.5, component title is hidden, can anyone help me???

Somebody had similar problem with your component and gave you negative review on the JED. You told her that she should contact you from the support, yet here I am 2 weeks trying to get help with the component, and you are not replaying.
I also said that I would buy PLUS version right away when I see that free version works too, because why buy something if it doesn't suite your needs right.That is why you offered us free version in the 1st place right?

It seems like you have deleted some module contents. Try to reinstall component, or get the PLUS version that has solved this kind of issues.


Hello Marko. I will buy the PLUS version but I wont do that before I see if this component suite my needs. I really need to check it 1st. Its actually very bad practice that you ask people to buy something if component is not working in free version. Please help me setup free version 1st and then, after I check it Ill probably buy the PLUS v.
Also, I did re-install the component, but problem remain the same.

I downloaded and installed this component.
At 1st it worked but now I cant see fbchat in the front end. I use joomla 1.5.25 and my domain is tvojservis.com

Downloaded and installed. In Firefox it works. But in IE(9) when I hit enter this only gives a break in the message. I cannot send any messages.

This component works great with Joomla!2.5 !!

I think that it'll be a good idea to change the user font color between sender/receiver because users are in black and it's not easy to make the difference between the users, and why not some smileys ?

I'm using wamp to test the joomla fb chat but i can't figure out how it works... i have installed it properly(as the documentation provioded me) i'm using firefox and chrome as my main browser and gantry or camber from rockettheme as my main templates

I installed Chat on my Joomla 1.0.15,
but in admin pannel, I get

Language translations Handler not defined for type = FBChatLanguageS elector
FBChat module position Handler not defined for type = loadModulesPosi tion

After installation ,chat works,but if I try to make some settup changes, after that,it doesnt work.

2. Is it possible to have a smileys..?

and i have 1 question:
1. why in my module manager page, i don't have the title..? only blank, but when i tried to type in the title, then the chat will be disapear.

My site is in a subfolder and the chat work perfectly ? I think you need a good htaccess for redirect/rewrite.

I really need this to work ? Ready to hack or even take out any sound notification....
